The Madhatters Theatre Company was founded in 1991.

The program encourages children to work co-operatively and enjoy sharing the limelight!

In our Creative Drama classes, the workshop stimulates the imagination and helps to develop self confidence and social skills. Students create their plays and characters through improvisation, which is then scripted and performed in a professional theatre environment at the end of the session. Programs are offered throughout the school year.

Summer camps are available in Old Lyme.
Our Summer production at the Ivoryton Playhouse for the children’s series is open to students by invitation only. In December our annual production of ‘Winter Wonderland’ is performed at the Ivoryton Playhouse and is open to students ages 3 and above.

In April we perform a full length musical which is cast by auditions, the musical is chosen by the students.

As Director of the company, my goal is to offer a program that meets the needs and abilities of each child as an individual and allows them to shine.
